And now Gilbert Gottfried. jfc will people stop dying? Please?
Yes please, children, please settle down.
It is Thursday, April 14, 2022,
We are now into the SECOND day of 2566, Year of the Tiger.

Town of Hua Hin takes a survey
Residents demand to be surrounded by sickies and their germs
Tourism suppliers in Hua Hin, part of the Thailand Amazing Wellness Coast scheme, which is supervised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, which answers to the junta, are ready to establish themselves as a wellness hub after the Centre for Economic Situation Administration approved this initiative in January.
... Local sentiment during Songkran has improved from last year, with a greater degree of confidence due to widespread vaccination. Some tourists started their road trip on April 10, choosing Hua Hin as a first stop before driving to southern provinces, said Mr Udom.
But they need quite a lot of government subsidies, amount still unknown.

It's not just Thailand: Inflation bites Asia like a mad dog.
Same price, less rice
Asian restaurants and street food hawkers like Ma's face the tough choice of taking the hit from higher costs or passing them on and risk losing loyal customers.
Spiralling prices for ingredients and material that started with supply chain snags during the Covid-19 pandemic and are now being propped up by the war in Ukraine are squeezing businesses and consumers.

At least the sense of humour survives...
Seo Jae-eun, a customer in Seoul, quips that kimchi should now be called "keum-chi", keum being Korean for gold.
Out of the virus?
Not even close
In ONE DAY (Wednesday, first day of the New Year at that, sadly)...
China's dreadful SARS-Cov 2 novel virus
 infected 23,015
 killed 106
95 of the new cases were carried into Thailand from abroad.
Thailand's accumulated death toll as of midnight on Wednesday stood at 26,395 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 4,697 so far this year.

The Word - from Thaksin
Youngest daughter Paetongtarn not quite ready to be prime minister yet - but soon
Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has dismissed speculation that his youngest daughter Paetongtarn may run in the next general election.
Thaksin said in a ClubHouse session on Tuesday that he did not envision his daughter contesting the poll and he preferred to see her engage in the academic side of work at the Pheu Thai Party.
Asked if he wants to see her run in an election, he said:
"I am not dreaming too far yet. There is no room for imagination yet. I just want her to help with academic work and bring people together to brainstorm ideas."

Oh, fer... You're a damn newspaper. Tell us something we don't know.
Thailand lags SE Asia peers in tourism recovery
Two years after tourism in Southeast Asia ground to a halt, travellers are getting back on planes as entry and Covid-19 quarantine rules are lifted in the region, but a full recovery will be slow and some long-time hotspots like Thailand are falling out of favour.
International airline bookings to Southeast Asia reached 38% of pre-pandemic levels by late March, according to travel firm ForwardKeys. They were at less than 10% of 2019 levels at the start of the year.
Singapore and the Philippines led a sharp uptick in bookings.
... These countries now require vaccinated travellers to only perform a rapid antigen test before arrival, whereas more complicated requirements in Thailand have knocked the former tourist favourite out of the top league.

Myanmar marked its normally boisterous new year water festival with silence and boycotts on Wednesday, as fighting between the military and opponents of the coup raged across the country.
The Thingyan water festival -- part of a cleansing ritual to welcome in the Buddhist new year, like Thailand's Songkran -- is typically marked by jubilant pandemonium as crowds engage in large-scale street water fights.
But thoroughfares in central Yangon were quiet on Wednesday, with no sign of the usually disruptive festivities, media reported.

CORONAVIRUS ESPIONAGE CANADA
If you are Canadian, you are now allowed to know that...
During four weeks in 2020, tens of thousands of Chinese took 97 flights to Canada while carrying secret stashes of SARS Cov-2 novel coronavirus in their bodies.
The secret, censored figures were released on Monday by Transport Canada, which used to be a Canadian government agency.
Transport Canada was ordered by the Canadian justice system to release the figures.

THAILAND TOURISM FLIGHTS
Rerouting the jetliners
The Transport Ministry has ordered the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (Aerothai) to prepare for contingencies with a possible increase in aviation and air traffic movement through Thailand in light of limited airspace access resulting from the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob issued the order to Aerothai after Juan Carlos Salazar Gomez, secretary-general of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), paid a formal visit to the so-called 'prime minister' Prayut Chan-o-cha on April 5.
Thailand is home of the ICAO's office in the Asia Pacific.
'Test & Go' is tested and done
It was so stupid it will not be allowed to live.
NOTE
Thailand had a similar lead-up to the first coronavirus outbreaks as Canada, with the exception that it wasn't censored.

Biden refuses to look up the word 'genocide' in a dictionary
Joe accuses Putin's forces of genocide in Ukraine
==
Biden: Yes, I called it genocide.
We'll let the lawyers decide internationally whether or not it qualifies, but it sure seems that way to me.
It's become clearer and clearer that Putin is just trying to wipe out the idea of even being able to be a Ukrainian.

Question: What in the Blue Blazes of Heck are "lawyers internationally?"
The American language has a pithier way of saying what Joe said
Bring in the guilty bastard. We'll give him a fair trial, and then we'll hang him.
 Judge Roy Bear (1825-1903)
To be honest, it is far more important to know what The New York Times says, than any U.S. politician.
The New York Times has always defended Russia/USSR/CCCP on such charges. For longer than Joe Biden has been alive.
No New Year fun in Myanmar, no water-throwing in Thailand.
The most important issue is, What does Prayut think about that?
Turns out the guy is quite uneasy.
Prayut uneasy as tourists splash water
Prayut instructed Phuket's governor to familiarise tourists with the Songkran water-splashing ban after some visitors joined a water throwing party on Tuesday.
Foreign and Thai tourists threw water in Soi Bang La at Patong Beach during the evening.

RIP
And now Gilbert Gottfried. jfc will people stop dying?
Some people will not like this video, which is so damned tough for them
