Another week, another shekel.
Hello world and fellow inhabitants, Week Number 126 of the Chinese Boomer Pruner.
Public to Prayut: Get out!
A new public survey released on Sunday by the National Institute of Development Administration aka Nida Poll had bad news for top junta members.
A majority of those polled stated strongly that the alleged 'prime minister Prayut and other junta big-shots should quit by August 24. i.e. in Two Weeks and Two Days Total.
Or else... something.
Former 4-star generals running events in Thailand:
Prawit Wongsuwan, believed to be author and godfather of the military coup of May 22, 2014.
Ex-army commander and self-styled coup commander Prayut Chan-o-cha.
Close friend and loyalist ex-general Anupong Paojinda, currently the 'minister of interior'.
Nida Poll results
Prayut’s term as prime minister
• 64.25% – Prayut should step down on August 24 when he completes eight years in office
Their future role in governing Thailand
• 55.18% – No role at all.

U.S.-made Strykers arrive
The United States has delivered the first batch of 10 Stryker infantry carrier vehicles to the Royal Thai Army. Thailand paid 900 million baht in real money - about US$25,252,113.
The armoured infantry carriers arrived recently at Laem Chabang port. The army now has 130 of the vehicles.
The 10 are bound for the 11th Infantry Division in Chachoengsao province, east of Bangkok.

We come in peace
Meanwhile the opposition anti-Prayut Pheu Thai Party gives heat.
The newest Thaksin-family politician told the crowd in Chiang Rai on Sunday that she knows Who's Her Daddy.
Paetongtarn Shinawatra just got a personal message from Thaksin in Dubai.
"If he has a chance to return to Thailand, he would like to see all sides sit down to talk and work together because people are facing a big challenge."
As the cowboys used to tell the Indians, 'We come in peace'.
Paetongtarn, nickname Ung Ing, is Thaksin's littlest baby daughter. She will turn 36 on August 21. She is the Pheu Thai Party's 'family leader,' whatever that means.
Pheu Thai currently believes it will sweep the North and Northeast in the next general election.

RUSSIA UKRAINE U.N. NUCLEAR
PHNOM PENH: The ASEAN foreign ministers released a joint statement on Sunday, calling on China and others in and near the Taiwan Strait to chill.
Meeting chairman Cambodia:
"We are concerned the situation could destabilize the region and eventually could lead to miscalculation, serious confrontation, open conflicts and unpredictable consequences among major powers."
U.S. and Chinese foreign ministers sat through it, passively.
Myanmar was not allowed to speak or vote.

U.N. Secgen - It's 1 Minute to Midnight
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told members of the United Nations on Monday that the world is "just one misunderstanding" away from destruction.
"Humanity is just one misunderstanding, one miscalculation away from nuclear annihilation," he said at a meeting of the 50-year-old Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
Guterres was hardly alone in his fear about the Russian invasion of The Ukraine.
The threat of nuclear catastrophe was also raised by the United States, Japan, Germany, the U.N. nuclear chief and many other opening speakers.

Taiwan is Nancy Pelosi's last hurrah
Gwynne Dyer
Nancy Pelosi's brief visit to Taiwan this week caused great if somewhat confected anger in Beijing, but the Chinese Communist regime was not her main target. The Speaker of the House of Representatives has long supported Taiwan, and she will be aware that both the government and the people are in need of some reassurance at the moment.

50 Things That Pelosi Did Not Do In Taiwan
1. She did not kneel, curtsy or bow to President Tsai Ing-wen.
2. She did not apologise to President Tsai Ing-wen for all those disgraceful American acts.
3. And so on, etc. etc.

Yes. Well. A person who wants and lusts for World War III deserves some blowback, and then some.
