APEC SUMMIT PROTESTS
Thailand's junta has told anti-Prayut political factions they must not protest while the APEC summit is under way - from now until Monday.
At least three factions of anti-junta, anti-Prayut demonstrators have claimed they will rally, no matter the cost.
Riot police and troops are taking it calmly - "Do not cause any disturbances."
This is probably going to end badly.

Thailand's junta has promoted Pateemoh Sadeeyamu, 57, former deputy governor.
She is the first female Muslim governor in the Islamic-majority southern region of six provinces.
A Muslim spokesman from next-door Yala province, Abdulashi Dueramae, called Mrs. Pateemoh's appointment "an exciting new development," noting it was about time that a Thai 'government' recognized her ability.
Her appointment got a huge and instant approval ratio by online commenters. She is a lifetime civil servant with experience in several provinces - all in the South.

Anti-Prayut rallies will begin today in front of the Bangkok City Hall [known as Lan Khon Mueang town square, ลานคนเมือง] near the Giant Swing, under heavy [and alert] police surveillance.

Ms. Mind led a rally on Thursday. About 50 police officers were deployed to maintain peace and order.
The protesters issued a statement, calling on the Thai government to drop its “Bangkok Goals on BCG economy” plan and for Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to resign, ending his role as host of the APEC Summit on Friday and Saturday.
Word is they will try to march to Bangkok's Asok-Sukhumvit intersection, half a mile from Prayut's APEC 'summit'.
Thailand began a 4-day holiday this morning. All government offices and schools are closed, along with many businesses.

A two-day meeting of 'APEC Senior Officials' has approved the Bangkok Goals Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy document.

The Bangkok Goals will chart a new course for APEC's sustainability agenda by translating the vision and direction to be laid out in the Putrajaya Vision 2040 and the Aotearoa Plan of Action into concrete action.
