California wind power kills birds by the thousands
Hello everyone, it's the early morning of Tuesday, April 26 in Thailand, as it soon will be everywhere on Earth.
Covid will NOT repeat NOT become endemic in Thailand on Canada Day
The ruling junta flip-flops once again.
It announced in March that it would make Chinese Covid-19 an 'endemic', exactly on July 1 - and discard all that nonsense about "pandemic" and "epidemic".
Forget about it.
The junta appointed the man who has failed every prediction about Covid-19 to announce:
"[Measures] to stimulate the economy and bring in money could bring back Covid-19," he added. "So, we must mitigate the risks by focusing on prevention and treatment."
"It is best to vaccinate people and give  boosters  [for  full  protection]," he noted.
That is Dean Doctor Professor Prasit Watanapa of the Mahidol University medical section, who has been wrong about Covid since 2019.
But it's junta policy.
PHOTO: The last laugh? Probably not. Thailand's 'prime minister' changes Covid policy more often than his socks.
Why can't the Thai Government speed up opening the doors to tourism?
This is a commentary from the former ThaiVisa website, and it's unexciting. It brings in recent events rather factually enough, has very little for people who have been following what's going on.
With the easing of travel regulations, the government confirmed that Thailand will fully reopen to foreign visitors from May 1.
But will it still make it easier for tourists already wary of travelling overseas?

Closely Related. And just like the above, you'll have to battle through the blatant anti-Asian Thai-hating comments.
Tourist arrivals to Thailand surge in 2022 but still are just a fraction of pre-Covid levels

THAILAND CORONAVIRUS
Covid's cruel misery continues
The number of new cases of Covid-19 coronavirus dropped on Monday.
 14,994 new Covid cases
 124 more deaths
The case figures did not include 6,761 positive results from antigen tests over the past 24 hours. This would raise the total to 21,755.
The reported 124 deaths were among people aged from one month to 100 years.

China's incompetence becomes clearer
Hands up, anyone who thinks China can handle its own coronavirus outbreaks. Anyone?
There is now a Covid spike in Beijing.
For a start, a district of 3.5 million is ordered locked down for 3 months for mass testing.
Also in Beijing, there is public panic and shelf-clearing market shopping.
The President For Life has approved mass vaccinations. So a quickly developing situation that soon will match the boarded up streets and welded doors of Shanghai, now in its 4th week of horrible lockdown.

Those darned Americans!
They are still jibber-jabbering about whether to allow Thailand to buy F-35 combat jets.
But they flatly deny obscure and possibly deranged students who claim Washington has plans for military, espionage (and drone) operations at Chiang Mai.
And yes, Thailand has a problem with the new, improved larger human trafficking mafia
But it's not the army's fault this time.
PHOTO: Burmese are fleeing and willing to pay human traffickers to escape the murderous, near-genocidal Tatmadaw dictatorship. But that's not Prayut's fault, right?

Well... that is the view of the Thai Enquirer, the latest paper that has been bought, owned and now manipulated by the Chinese Communist Party.
Which, like pretty well all "information" from Beijing, is laughable and false.
By weird coincidence, al Jazeera has just broadcast a documentary that seems to show that every Chinese-manipulated word of that story is fake disinformation.
It's a fact that the men of today's Thai junta were running and protecting the murderous human trafficking of 2015.
To this day, Prayut denies any blame for the murderous 2005-2015 human trafficking he helped to establish, function and then protect.
Oh, and Prawit is a frequent traveller to the United States and will never, ever, ever be investigated or revealed by the U.S.A. government.
NOTE: The actual junta collaborator and director of human trafficking was ex-army general Prawit Wongsuwan, an extremely close "brother" to Prayut and author of the 2014 military coup.
As of today (literally) Prawit is the leader and spokesman for all human trafficking events in Thailand.

THAILAND CHINA HUAWEI
Even more weirdly and coincidentally, a new Japanese TV documentary has just hit the screens.
'100 Faces of Huawei' begins as a tour of the vast company's headquarters, with mindless and tedious interviews with top officials.
But Season 2 has just arrived, and it delves into the company's strategy and tactics in Thailand.
Despite punishing U.S. sanctions, in 23 years, Huawei has taken over two universities and half of Si Racha province (yes the food sauce). It is growing quickly, pushing profitable 5G, cloud and AI technologies, and selling smartphones by the thousands.
Around 20% of smartphones sold in Thailand are Huawei brands.

Informed and interesting analysis by columnist Kavi Chongkittavorn:
Japan pushes new diplomatic profile
As for the Ukraine crisis, both Thailand and Japan are on the same page as they will not accept any infringements upon sovereignty.

Columnist Atiya "Ann" Achakulwisut writes this morning about local politics.
Sex scandal casts a shadow over Jurin
Explanation: "Jurin" is Jurin Laksanawisit, the supposed 'leader' of the Democrat Party, the oldest surviving political group in Thailand.
And the Democrats have no "sex scandal". They have a full-out, homemade, fast-developing rape-and-molestation situation so disgusting that it could end the Democrats completely.

CHINA SPORTS
The worldwide Women's Tennis Association (WTA) announced on Monday it will be holding no tournaments in China in the forseeable future.
The WTA wants the case of Peng Shuai cleared up. The Communist Party of China claims there is no case to clear.
And the WTA has already shown its lack of spine with this official statement:
"We want to find a resolution that Peng can be comfortable with, the Chinese government can be comfortable with, and we can be comfortable with."
Because it is very important to kowtow to Beijing, with all that loot at stake.

There will never, ever-ever be legal e-ciggies in Thailand. Ever.
And if you carry in a few in your suitcase, off to jail you go, pal.

Zebra killers
The biggest issue in Bangkok for the past four months began in January.
An off-duty police lance corporal driving his private Ducati Monster big-bike mowed down Ratchathewee Hospital ophthalmologist Waralak "Doctor Kratai" Suphawatjariyakul as she crossed busy Phayathai Road on a zebra crossing.
Dr. Kratai died at the scene. Police experts testified that Norawich Buadok, 21, was doing 120 kilometres an hour - about 75mph. The speed limit on the road was 80kph, or 50mph.
Norawich went to court last week, where judges slapped him with a one-year sentence in addition to several large fines.
The policeman pleaded guilty to all charges.
PHOTO: Since the incident, there have been large and incessant demands for better enforcement of pedestrian-crossing laws. Inset shows the popular doctor.

Oh gosh, I have to disagree with this, top to bottom. From the 1960’s heroin right up to today's Oxy and rose, the "therapies" we've had have been pretty pofitable.

The new Space Race is NASA vs. Russia and China.

GLOBAL WARMING
Hey, California! How is that wind power working out for you?
California is home to some of Earth's rarest birds.
California is also home to most of the most ardent believers of the Green Energy Religion.
S-o-o-o-o-o-o...
23 of California's vulnerable bird species (barn owls, golden eagles, road runners, yellow-billed cuckoos...) are experiencing at least a 20% decline in their population growth rates because wind turbines and solar panels are killing them and/or destroying their limited-range habitat.

Cloud computing and the ASEAN Summit
If U.S. President Joe Biden shows up for his latest attempt at an ASEAN-U.S.A. summit, online piracy will be on his agenda.
The U.S.A. Motion Picture Association (MPA) has stepped up efforts to make sure Biden puts strict anti-Asian accords into any planned trade agreement between the U.S. and the Indo-Pacific region.
The movie phu yai are demanding strict "verified identities" for internet users and website operators using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services.
The cloud-computing service is not as complicated as the M.P.A. is attempting to make it.
PHOTO: The two sides to the May 12-13 meeting have not even announced whether the summit will be 'in person' or just by using the Chinese Zoom sexting service again.
