KRABI: Three Grade 12 [in Thai: Mathayom Suksa 6] students, a boy and two girls, decided early Tuesday to go to visit a fourth friend. They climbed aboard a motorcycle.
Along the way, their 'cycle and a BMW collided head-on. All three of the students were thrown into the roadway, possibly unconscious, or worse.
The Beemer driver climbed out, grabbed his shotgun and fired at the prostrate students. He climbed back into his car and peeled away.
Police found him, put him behind bars, and he is helping authorities with their enquiries.
So far, the 41-year-old hopped-up Beemer driver is charged with murder, illegal possession of a weapon, carrying it in public without a permit and firing it in public, and taking illicit drugs. He has admitted to the charges, according to police, saying he was under the influence of methamphetamine [yaa ba] at the time.

The accused killer-yaa ba user attacked another prisoner in his cell.
He banged the man's head on the cell-block floor and was rewarded with solitary confinement.
Management, teachers and students at Phanom Benja School [below] attended bathing rites for the three students at three local temples in Khao Phanom district on Tuesday.
Fellow students wrote poems for the deceased.

And the justices are annoyed at the leak of written testimony by  Meechai Ruchupan in the Prayut case.
In the submission, Meechai claims that Prayut has at least another three years as the junta's token 'prime minister' - and the justices want to know who leaked that testimony.
The nine justices are meeting today to discuss the Prayut case - i.e. when Prayut's term ends and he has to skedaddle.
But they have made it collectively clear that they will rule on that case... when they get around to it, and they won't be rushed.

Bangkok-Korat train schedule
The self-described 'government' of Thailand announced that you will be permitted aboard the first 'high-speed' train in Thai history - in five years, or so.
Quite fit government spokesperson Anucha Bura-pachaisri said, in brief:
- the train will run from Bangkok to Korat. And back, of course.
- plan the trip taking 90 minutes, through six stations and three miniature maintenance roundhouses.
- there will be a lot of land expropriation from today through August 27.
- the fare isn't set.
- Eventually, no time set, this will be part of the Thailand-China line.
Well, that's one good reason for a curfew on all of those darned kids today.

 Assets worth over B200m seized from crypto firm CEO
 The main company involved is P Miner Cryptocurrency Group Company.
Thailand's cybercrime police seized the assets of Kittikorn Inta and his girlfriend.
Then they issued arrest warrants for both - who are on the run from their homes in Chiang Mai. Most of the charges allege a Ponzi scheme by the two.

 10 Rohingya rescued from sea, 41 others found on island
The horror of human trafficking is back, and once again the obvious victims are Rohingya, from Myanmar and Bangladesh's refugee camp.
Ten men were found floating in the Andaman Sea near Koh (island) Bulone of Satun province in the far south.
Then, another 41 Rohingya were later found on a nearby island.
The Langu district chief, said the Rohingya told officials they had travelled in a small, packed boat from the state of Rakhine in Myanmar and were heading to Indonesia.
