Thailand's new token 'prime minister' General Prawit Wongsuwon took over the PM's desk at Government House while Prayut was assigned a desk for a photo op at the defence ministry.
Thailand junta's shifting coalition
The Constitutional Court's ruling to dump Prayut and elevate Prawit Wongsuwon leaves a giant political mess.
Problem One: Prayut
He thinks he can WFH work from hom with very occasional trips to the office of Minister of Defence, but that won't work for him, or for others.
Prayut did not show up for work at the ministry yesterday.
He chaired a meeting of the Defence Council via video teleconference - i.e. the Chinese sexting software Zoom.
The chief defence spokesman said:
"Prayut told attendees not to worry about him and that he will continue working as defence minister."
That won't last long. Prayut fails to understand that junta leaders aren't at all worried about him; they are worried about themselves.
PHOTO: Prayut speaks to the top junta generals on a call via Zoom, the Chinese sextine program.

Problem Two: Also Prayut
Prayut has two weeks to appeal the ruling of the Constitutional Court.
That ruling, to toss Prayut out of office as 'prime minister' will only last one month - after which Prayut's legal team will demand that the Court should reinstate him as prime minister, and toss out the Court's iffy and unpopular replacement - General Prawit Wongsuwon.
That appeal and follow-up will take at least six weeks and throw all Thai politics into disarray.1
Problem Three: Prawit and Election Plans
As political activist Jatuporn Prompan put it yesterday:
"People are worried about... still worry about him Prawit running the country.
The calls for dissolution of the House of Representatives and a quick election are growing.
Thailand has a new, unbreakable Terrible Trio (cf:1973)
Prayut, Prawit and their close army buddy, ex-four star, ex-army commander Anupong Paojinda, currently the junta's chosen 'minister of interior', a hugely powerful post.
OPED POLITICS PRAYUT
Suspension leaves Prayut down but not out
by Chairith Yonpiam, assistant news editor, Bangkok Post.
So, there's probably a 50:50 chance of the embattled Gen Prayut returning to Thai Khu Fah (Government House) or leaving politics once and for all.
Many are of the view that the court's decision was merely aimed at easing political pressure amid a spate of protests by anti-Prayut groups.
THAILAND ECONOMY MINIMUM WAGE
The ruling junta announced a new series of minimum wages on Friday.
The average hike is 5%, but minimum-wage workers in Bangkok will get a raise of 22 baht per day, starting in October.
The graphic shows the country's nine 'wage zones' and the latest pay rises.
As a guide, 354 Thai baht is just a tad less than 10 U.S. dollars.
New rules for Thai chefs and food sellers
If you came to Thailand to get some of that good-ole marijuana-laced soup, the ruling junta has good news for you.
A new regulation for vendors and manufacturers who use cannabis as an ingredient requires them to pass a training course and be officially certified.
After that, Bob's their uncle.
The ministry announcement stated that vendors must put up signs informing customers that cannabis is being used as an ingredient and clearly list all the cannabis-based menus.
THAILAND ECONOMY UNEMPLOYMENT
Employment is rising, for the first time since the appearance of Covid-19 in Thailand, in November of 2019.
The number of working people in the second quarter stood at 39 million
Secretary-general Danucha Pichayanan of the junta's National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) said on Friday that unemployment in the second quarter of 2022 tallied 550,000, or 1.37% of the total workforce of 39.8 million - a slight decline from 1.53% in the first quarter.

Billions (and billions) of baht of your taxes are paying for ESG - Environmental, Social, Governance, ESG is arguably a corrupt double-forked scam. Almost all of it is going to pay to promote the Trojan horse.
An organised network of NGOs, foundations, nonprofit entities... and the media, which earns giant payoffs to promote ESG.
Look it up. Do some research.

CHILDREN ENTERTAINMENT EDUCATION SESAME STREET
Remember when Miss Universe of Thailand told the entre world that she learned to speak (perfect) English by watching Sesame Street?
First they came for Br'er Rabbit. Then they came for Dr. Seuss. And now…Sesame Street!?
HBO Max Removes 200 'Sesame Street' Episodes. Presumably teaching youngsters to count is White Supremacy, right?
So enjoy the weekend with Alison Krauss and Union Station performing Sesame Jamboree.
And just in general: Have a great weekend.

Saudi seizes diplomatic moment for global reckoning
Four years after the bloody murder and dismemberment of dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul left foreign leaders distancing themselves from the world’s largest oil producer, Saudi Arabia is taking advantage of the energy crisis sparked by the Ukraine war to rehabilitate and reposition itself with diplomatic partners.
Last month, U.S. President Joe Biden, who pledged during his election campaign to make his host an international pariah, met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - named specifically by his own intelligence agencies as the mastermind of the brutal, 2018 killing.
