Mossad, Thai Special Branch battle imported terrorism threats
Good morning all world, and apologies for the missing Fishwrap yesterday. Here is today's Bulldog edition of Thursday 14 November.

PM courts Peru, APEC and new U.S. cash-investment
EL LAY: Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra, better known as Ung-Ing was in Los Angeles on her way to the APEC meeting in Lima. (Photo is mostly Thai expats in America.)
Paethongtarn called a meeting of Thai ambassadors and consul-generals, as well as heads of Team Thailand based in North and South America. She had one message: Get Busy Selling Thailand to more foreign investors.
Her government is preparing to shift 'the Thai geopolitical landscape' for the second coming of President Trump, better known as, Literally, Hitlker.
I would like ambassadors to publicise what the government is doing. Since Thailand is still facing economic problems, the government is trying to do all it can to bring as much money to the country as possible.
It is necessary to look for new opportunities and cooperation that will strengthen the economy. I want the diplomats to focus on promoting investment.
-- PM Paethongtarn's direct message, at Los Angeles.
Sounds an awful lot like Thaksin's foreign policies of 2003.
Stand by for scholarships for students who intend to further their studies in modern aerospace and digital technology industries, and all related fields.
The Prime Minister has appointed a committee to try to get one (1) million children from very poor families back to school. It's difficult to imagine a worse idea for kids, most of whom are missing classes not because of poverty but because of the dreadful mishandling of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Ung Ing's committee includes controllers who are 'education experts' and that's not even the worst part of the doomed programme.
Israeli tourists, visitors warned
The monthly Full Moon Party at Phangna Island in the Gulf of Thailand is on Friday --Â tomorrow,. Mossad, Royal Thai Police Special Branch have been busy infiltrating and breaking up plans by small gangs to specifically target young Israeli tourists, who love the Full Moon events and attend in large numbers.
As always, Special Branch have kept the work at low-level secrecy but it is known by Fishwrap that at least three different groups have been targeted and broken up, including with armed police violence.
The warning yesterday to Israeli visitors to keep a close eye out for possible attacks. A key part of this: No Thai has (yet) been implicated in any manner. Some of the groups smashed by Special Branch are Israeli citizens -- Arabs with Israeli passports and extremely violent intentions.
This opens once again Fishwrap's questions to alleged "analysts" who blamed the most recent Amsterdam pogrom on the Israelis who were attacked by mostly North Africans attempting to kill them. Why only in Holland and not in Canada, America or, now, Thailand?
Since 1972... all attacks upon Israelis within Thailand have been by outsiders, mostly directed by Iranian controllers but occasionally directly by Hezbollah or by Hamas 'Palestinians'.

POSSIBLY TRIVIA
Bangkok has a large community of Shi'ite, run almost entirely by the embassy of Iran but totally, completely unwilling to perform any type of violent acts, especially terrorism and most especially against foreigners in Thailand.
The community conducts, or tries to conduct an annual Al-Aqsa parade in central-eastern Bangkok, preferably with extensive property damage. The parade has been banned for several years.
All very cold, but it's impossible to forget that America had an election.

Trump Redux, and U.S.-Thai-ASEAN ties
Trajectory of U.S.-Thai-Asean relations will be defined by three factors -- rising trade imbalances, intensifying US-China rivalry and Asean's long-term aspirations under its Community Vision 2045.

Vietnam prepares for a second U.S.-China trade war
The last time Donald Trump (literally, Hitler) was the U.S. president, Vietnam reaped big benefits from the trade war he started with China. This time around, the outcome could be different.

The Nicest Thai Holiday Of Them All
Loy Krathong is tomorrow evening -- and one interesting fact is that it's not actually a holiday although just about every Thai in the nation takes part.
Bureaucrats and even police are closing most of the country's parks, and "encouraging" tourists to try to enjoy the lovely and gentle holiday at their hotel swimming pools.
Two other things you didn't know:
Chinese and Thai tourists are the biggest festival goers, at Chiang Mai. Online searches for best Airbnb treehouses, family stays, luxury hotels etc are up more than 50%.
The Bad News: Return of the Bangkok Dust Dome
Air pollution readings in the capital city showed that more than half of the 50 administrative districts had unhealthy readings of PM2.5 smog.

CHANGE USA POLITICS
President (after January 21) Trump (like, you know, literally Hitler) secretary of state (equivalent to foreign minister) is to be Marco Rubio, senator, Florida, family background LEGAL immigrants from Cuba. Trivia: Senator Rubio was one of a number of Republican Party challengers (and failures) to Trump's first run for president in late 2015-16.
 At the U.N.
 Don Trump:
I am honoured to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter.
Stefanik, who is the relentless, bulldog chair of the House Republican Conference, made noise earlier this year when her intense questioning during hearings on anti-Semitism on college campuses forced two Ivy League presidents to resign.
USA DIPLOMACY CANADA
(Not everyone is thrilled by the Rubio appointment)
ANALYSIS: not out on a limb.
Why having Marco Rubio as the U.S. secretary of state could be good — or bad — for Canada

ZHUHAI: The 62-year-old "Mister Fan" tried to cut his throat after his attack -- but failed the suicide attempt.
A totally unbelievable, heavily censored police report claimed Fan was angry about his recent divorce. People on-scene shouted "terrorist!" but that remains to be seen.
Fan drove his ATV directly into a crowd doing tai chi exercises.
