Atrocity at Myanmar school
Myanmar junta troops with helicopter air support attacked and ravaged a village in the northern part of the country. A chief target of the raid was a school where 7 children were killed and others abducted by junta forces.
The attack last Friday occurred in Let Yet Kone village in Tabayin, also known as Depayin, about 110 kilometres (70 miles) northwest of Mandalay, the country's second-largest city.
School administrator Mar Mar said she was trying to get students to safe hiding places in ground-floor classrooms when two of four Mi-35 helicopters hovering north of the village began attacking, firing machine guns and heavier weapons at the school, which is in the compound of the village's Buddhist monastery.
"Since the students had done nothing wrong, I never thought that they would be brutally shot by machine guns," she said.

Around 70 members of the Military Council [the officious name of the Myanmar junta] entered Aung Thar Village and set fire [to buildings] including a monastery and houses at 6:00 p.m. There was a lot of smoke and dust above the village due to the junta's arson attack. All the villagers were fleeing.

Thailand's junta-appointed Election Commission said it expects to hold a general election for parliament on May May 7 - 227 days from today.
But take heed: There are several possibilities that this date could be moved up or pushed back.
The registration of election candidates at this point is planned to be carried out on April 3-7, while the designation of constituencies and voting units, as well as the number of eligible voters, are expected to be announced by April 11.
The final lists of election candidates are expected to be known by April 14.

Let's go out on a shaky limb.
The next time Biden or his U.S. ambassador try to convince Thailand to stop being 'neutral' and support Ukraine, the answer will be a firm:
Sod off, Swampy.
But that is where we are. The main media of the United States and Canada congratulate and cheer China's open sabotage. America's top athletes work to influence pro-CCP propaganda. Hollywood's leading movie studios and stars do the same; Walt Disney Pictures strove to help Xi Jinping and the politburo cover up Beijing's anti-Muslim, anti-minority crimes, notably but not at all exclusively in Xinjiang.

Scientists with nothing else to do decided to count, how many ants live on Earth?
Answer: Quite a lot. 20 quadrillion, a number we will not bother to write down.
Just for a start there are 15,700 species of the things.
But which is a Good Thing.
Ants are a crucial part of nature. They aerate the soil, disperse seeds, break down organic material, create habitats for other animals and form an important part of the food chain.

NFL great Tom Brady just might stay in Florida without his spousal unit.
Now that HER (not THEIR but HER) latest sprog has grown up and reached the ripe age of 9, the strong, empowered Gisele Bundchen has decided to abandon home and hearth, the better to go out and save the planet.
Strong empowered feminist homewrecker Gisele [typical!] hates being called 'Homewrecker' even though she is gleefully a homewrecker.
But what's a supermodel to do after conquering the world and growing a family? Except homewrecking?
http://stuartschneiderman.blogspot.com/2022/09/gisele-bundchen-homewrecker.html
As for the details...
Homewrecker Gisele, who is an environmental activist homewrecker, had been pestering her husband for quite some time, trying to get him to retire from football. And she seems to have succeeded, when he announced his retirement in February. But then, he changed his mind, decided to play for just one more season. Gisele lost her mind over it.
How much do you think the strong, empowered activist and homewrecker will claim when she breaks down in tears at her lawsuit against Brady?
As of this morning, homewrecker Gisele had a mere US$400 million in her personal homewrecking bank account so she will need a lot more.

The Army Times, amongst others, notes that the U.S. Army has a major recruiting problem and can't find enough young people who meet the basic requirements to enlist.
Mostly because they're too fat, too stupid or too zonked out on 'recreational' drugs. Or two or all three of the above.
Lt. Gen. Maria Gervais, second in command for Army Training and Doctrine Command, sounded off about the troubling developments. She highlighted disqualification rates for potential recruits jumped from 30-40% (pre-Covid) to a whopping 70% this year due to obesity, low test scores, and/or drug use.
