Not a single leading candidate to be the prime minister of Thailand
Welcome back to The Grind. It's the final Monday of the month - and just two days until April Fool's Eve.
Thailand held a political poll last week and announced that the country thinks the best person to lead the country, as Thailand moves forward, is
NOTA.
The current and latest figures gathered by the National Institute of Development Administration, or Nida Poll, showed the Phue Thai Party (originally established by Thaksin) and the progressive Move Forward Party have the edge. Here is how the figures add up:
Move Forward's Pita Limjaroenrat outpolled incumbent coup leader Prayut - 13.42% to 12.67%.
But hold on. 27.62% of those polled answered, "nah".
No one, said potential voters in a possible (but unlikely) election, is qualified to lead a government.

We're taking flak... looks like we're over the target...
The political opposition flew and drove to northern Nan province, and convened a meeting on Sunday.
Main points:
The alleged 'government' has a failing economic policy,
The junta's 10-point plan to fight the Russia-Ukraine war inflation is useless.
Public debt under Prayut has soared to 10 trillion baht.
Opposition  leader  Cholnan  Srikaew of Pheu Thai noted succinctly, about inflation,
 "Everyone is going bust."

There will be another session of parliament, with another lukewarm debate and another vote of no-confidence.
Prayut and the junta are not out of time. Their 8th anniversary is on May 22.
But the clock is ticking.
Junta spokesman tests positive for Covid, forced to work from home
The Top No. 1 'government' spokesperson Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana has tested positive for Covid-19.
No big deal - he said. Despite the RT-PCR test result, he'll work from home. And he's smiling to beat the band.

Country that invented the Covid-19 novel virus and then couldn't control promises it will never again lock down Shangai.
But as of this morning it will lock down HALF of Shanghai.
Because the perpetually alert Chinese Communist Party wants to test people.

"The public is asked to support, understand and cooperate with the city's epidemic prevention and control work, and participate in nucleic acid testing in an orderly manner," the government added.
Or be shot.

Timely reminder
Bad: The so-called Prayut 'government' doesn't know what to do.
Worse: The entire panoply of the top experts of the Thai "medical community" cannot find a clue.
Worst: Sunday Covid-19 stats:
New, documented cases: 25,821
New deaths: 84
The central region, including eastern provinces of Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat, recorded the most deaths at 23, six more than the southern region and eight higher than the Northeast.
As of midnight Sunday, these are the official statistics from the world's hardes-hit Chinese Covid-19 countries and territories.

It's not only Covid
The Department of Medical Services (DMS) warned women on Sunday to check themselves for breast cancer.
Somsak Akksilp, director-general of the DMS, said breast cancer is a common type of cancer found in Thai women.
Citing Public Health Ministry data, he said that last year, about 18,000 Thai women had breast cancer and about 4,800 died from the disease.
The tendency of Thai women to develop breast cancer is rising, and  there  may  be  22,000  new patients next year, he said.
