Prayut to beg Austin for those F-35s puh-l-e-e-e-z
Settle down please, boys and girls. Smoke 'em if you've got 'em. It's Humps Day again, Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Back to the MedPark
Quacks and Quackettes at MedPark Hospital were ALL OVER me yesterday to suggest that if I didn't want another Rona booster, that'd be okay, they would send the Black Beret police around to pick me up.
So if you don't see The Fishwrap tomorrow, and you've lost track of the old la my lovely wife, well, you'll know it was one of those vaccine makers that did it.
But c'mon, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life
Prayut to beg Austin for those F-35 puh-l-e-e-e-z
Prayut has asked to meet U.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin while he is in Washington for the U.S.-ASEAN summit, tommorow and Friday.
All he wants is four F-35 fighter jets for the Royal Thai Air Force, and he already has 13 billion baht to pay for them.
Prayut is the junta's 'secretary of defence' and prime minister. He "met" Austin in February on a call using the Chinese sexting software Zoom.
PHOTO: Anti-junta protesters went to the U.S. embassy to submit a letter asking U.S. President Biden to put pressure on Prayut to free 11 political prisoners and ditch the lese majeste law completely.
This will further infuriate ex-army general Prawit Wongsuwon, author of the 2014 coup that put Prayut where he is.
Prawit, for several reasons, believes that U.S. military relations and foreign equipment procurement is his job - not Prayut's.
Prawit negotiated the deal to buy submarines from the Chinese Communist Party - also for 13 billion baht.
If that is not enough intrigue, the U.S. State Department is claiming 100% of the credit for organizing the U.S.-ASEAN summit and for convincing Prayut (and counterparts) to attend.

This is, arguably, the most polite way you can headline the story of the vomitous cult. The Nation online has cobbled together facts and anecdotes about 'the Father' whose followers called him God.

THAILAND BANGKOK POLITICS
The answer to free speech is VIOLENCE
The psycho in the white shirt, carrying a murse, is well-known Kanetpisanuthep "K-100 million" Jakapopmahadecha, a beyond bizarre man who claims to be a loyalist of Thai royalty and nation lover. As in "No one could ever love the King and royal family more than me and no Thai loves Thailand more than me." Ching-ching.
The young woman is a noted protest figure and auntie, Worawan "Pa-Pao" Sae-Ung, who was standing at a BTS (Skytrain) station when this occurred.

NOTE: The unpleasant video goes violent for a couple of seconds. Use your discretion.
Thailand's junta has ordered its police departments to search for and wipe out cults.
This quite strange and wide-sweeping order is already receiving praise from Thai media.
EXAMPLE: The discovery of the cult [in Chaiyaphum province] does raise a few serious issues for society to deliberate on.
As many social media users indicated, something must be wrong with the quality of education in the country if such a cult whose practices go against basic hygiene can still exist.
That said, newspapers on Wednesday all had headlines like this:
Cops widen probe into cult bodies
Faeces eaten as cure by leader’s disciples
Word of the Week
I learned this new word and increased my word power thanks to that obese and addled cult leader:
SCURF
As in, "Hello ladies, please come in and have some faeces and scurf, washed down by urine."
But speaking of dumb orders to the Royal Thai Police, a new edict directly from the junta now requres,
as of today, restraining seats for all children in all vehicles
and
seat belts for all seats in all vehicles.
That's not just a head-scratcher for any policeman on the beat, it's simply impossible.

Gunfight, cop dead, drug smuggler dead
Almost 100% predictable
This time it was in Suphan Buri, the pleasant town (pop. 800,000) northwest of Bangkok.
At about 10 p.m. on Monday, police ran sting on a known drug smuggler/dealer, who thought the best way out of that tight spot was to draw down on the cops and shoot them all to death.
It did not work out well for him. He shot and killed one narc with his own gun, which just ticked off the agents, and within a minute he had three shots in body mass and was lying dead on the town's sidewalk.
It's a good story, both sad and happy.

Alert Customs and narcs had a good day (for them)
The Narcotics Suppression Bureau seized 236 grammes of crystal meth packed in herbal hair conditioner bottles at Don Mueang Airport before it was due to be sent to New Zealand.
And then
Police from the same bureau arrested a 45-year-old Tanzanian at Suvarnabhumi airport for acting suspiciously.
They searched him, X-rayed him and spotted items in his stomach.
He was forced to defecate, yielding 53 bars of cocaine weighing a total of 865 grammes.

CORONAVIRUS
For the fourth consecutive week - Terrible Tuesday.
Since Thailand first welcomed the Mexican Beer Flu in late 2019, this happened:
The country's total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 4,337,568 - 4,228,370 of whom have recovered, 80,002 are still in hospitals and 29,196 have died.
It's not a Lockdown but it's something like 封鎖.
