Suni Lee is thinking about quitting Auburn University.
Somewhere ...
in a country far, far away...
a photographer has produced a photo that says
'You Are In A Military Dictatorship Area' better than this one says it.
These armed Law Enforcement Officers patrol tourist areas such as Khao San Road to make sure none of those foreigners throw or splash water*.
But there is no current image that says it better.
*Or stay up past their 11 p.m. lights-out bedtimes and get on-the-spot fines.
In case you're scoffing...
Photo below (surrounded by Friday's front-page headlines) shows Thai tourists enjoying Thursday at popular Bang Saen beach, southeast of Bangkok.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Find the person flouting the junta's rules on masking, circle the person and send it to Junta Headquarters for 'processing'.
Good morning boys and girls and others, today is Friday, April 15, 2022, and we are halfway through Ramadan.
There are stories from multiple sources in Montgomery, Alabama, this morning that say that Sunisa Lee has had enough of Auburn University, and intends to move on for 2023.
Stay tuned; it's a developing news story.
Prove me wrong.
In the North America of today...
and yes, cobber, Mexico and British Columbia and Nunangat and Tenochtitlan are all in North America.
In today's North American politics, the most important campaign is to toss all native Americans down the memory hole.
 For example...
Colorado Wants to Fine Schools US$25,000 a Month That Don't Drop Indian Mascots.
And when they write "Colorado," they don't mean some numbnuts-activist in the lower Front Range, they mean the entire state, no exceptions, with police and government-approved accountants on hand for enforcement. Because the government will tell you what to say.
'We'll travel later'
Thais, as always, as super-eager to go abroad.
Rules, costs deter outbound travel
But most travellers aren't yet ready because of the Covid-19 threats, higher prices for health and safety measures, and regular changes to entry rules for each country remain obstacles.

The foolish 'Test & Go' tourism plan designed by bureaucrats to lure foreign tourists is now Tested And Dumped. Just like its sister 'Thailand Pass' failure.
At some point, Thailand is going to have to realise its huge and serial failures to re-open Thailand.
Or, already at the bottom of ASEAN post-pandemic achievers, the military dictatorship could just give up, that's still an open option.
'Test & Go' was a fraud from Day One and few foreigners fell for its bait-and-switch promise of, "Oh, don't worry, once we test you, you can go anywhere you want. Because, to start with, there were mandatory lock-ups for each tourist.

But shed a tear
The junta has no clue how to deal with the Covid-19 onslaught.
On Thursday, in just one day, the coronavirus
infected 24,134 new victims, an increase of 1,119 in 24 hours, and
killed 115 people, including 14 in the GBA - Greater Bangkok Area.
The 115 people who died were aged from 31 to 99 years with the average age 75. Two were from Myanmar and the rest were Thais.

CHINA ECONOMY CORONAVIRUS
Discovery of contaminated fruit export prompts order for tests
Chinese health inspectors found a smidgen of Covid infection on an imported Thai durian.
Oh my!
The story, up to now...
CHANTHABURI: Operators of the fruit export sector are being told to implement strict Covid-19 protocols after a shipment to China was banned from entering the country for three days due to the discovery of traces of the coronavirus on the surface of durian packages.
Chanthaburi province governor Suthee Thongyaem has issued an order requiring operators in the fruit trade to comply with disease control measures, including the need to test workers for Covid-19.
The move comes after a Thai shipment of the fruit at China’s Mohan checkpoint was found to be contaminated, resulting in a ban from Tuesday to Thursday.
It was not clear what kind of testing revealing the contamination was carried out. The virus was detected on trucks and the surface of packages.

As Always
Gatt is only 'accused'. Many criminals and their lawyers plea-bargain or back-door their ways out of the original charges and it may happen that Gatt is found innocent and sent free to prey on other children.

The U.S.A. Federal Bureau of Instigation aka F.B.I. caught and arrested an actual criminal - a guy who killed his wife and tried to kill his daughter. In Colombia. 27 years ago.
Yeah F.B.I. One success in 27 years is better than the previous record of none, eh?

DuckDuckGo browser is here - beta version available now for Mac, Windows version coming soon. (Liliputing)
This isn't another fork of Chromium, or not quite. HTML is rendered by whatever is native to your operating system: WebKit on MacOS and the Edge library on Windows. The rest of the browser - the UI and networking code - is new and created by DuckDuckGo.
It's intended to provide a simple browsing experience where privacy settings are always on by default, rather than giving you 20 screens full of options to hang yourself with. Doesn't appear to be open source though.
