THAILAND POLITICS
Speaking of "behind schedule" (see below), the effort to amend or rewrite the military regime's constitution might start within two years.
Any amendments or rewrites will not be in place by the next general election -- 2027, barring extreme problems such as new political protests and attempts to once again "Shut Down Bangkok."

NOTE: There has been, so far, no attempt to inform the public, so "three years" to rubbish the dictatorship's constitution is optimistic.

THAILAND HOLIDAYS

December, though... holidays every week, even though Christmas isn't one.
All eyes on Bangkok congestion charge plan
The committee and "study" of un-jamming Bangkok roads, streets and expressway is a week old, and already the required time has doubled, from one year to two.
Repeat: This is a study of feasibility.
That said, an excellent round-up of official opinion. In a word: varied.

THAILAND OPINION EDITORIAL
Grapes of Wrath
A private inspection by the Thai Pesticides Alert Network (Thai-PAN) and the Foundation for Consumers has found high and dangers levels of pesticides in Shine Muscat seedless grapes.
Nine of the inspected cases came from China; another 15 were imported 'from another country.'
The big, green, seedless grapes grown in East Asian countries like Japan, South Korea, and China are increasingly popular with the Thai public.
The Food and Drugs Administration must warn consumers or force traders and exporters to recall chemically tainted fruits.
Or both.
