Rons and ettes, good Sunday morning to all on this June 18 of 2022.
Change out of those uncomfortable Sunday Go-To-Service duds and relax and read.

TECHNOLOGY WORLD
The Department of 'Fair Enough' reports that a Korean engineer made a tombstone to mark Internet Explorer’s end-of-support date. And it's, like, internet-viral!
"It was a pain in the ass, but I would call it a love-hate relationship because Explorer itself once dominated an era," he said.

THAILAND TOURISM MASKS
There are plenty of changing rules about dealing with the Covid-19 plaguing Thailand.
One rule is clear:
You MUST wear a mask in Thailand. If you don't, mask police may strike and cost you a fair bit of gelt.
But that rule might also change after Canada Day.

This is a decent, catch-up summary of the semi-chaos that followed the decision to partially 'decriminalise' the use and sale of marijuana (cannabis) and hemp.

Thailand rushes to rein in cannabis use a week after decriminalisation
Soon after the country became the first in Asia to legalise growing and consumption of cannabis in food and drink on June 9, businesses began openly selling marijuana, with strains called "Amnesia" and "Night Nurse" on offer from a truck in Bangkok.

Busy day for Thailand narcs
4 cocaine mules busted at the airports
A dumbbell South African mule flew in to Phuket from Ethiopia after swallowing 115 little pellets (see photo) with 1.49 kilos of cocaine inside. X-rays defeated him.
Small beans really. Because then, 3 Brazilian male 'tourists' tried to get their 5 suitcases containing 15.7 kilos of cocaine though Bangkok airport customs. It also didn't work.
The four will be guests of Thailand for an undetermined time, but at least they won't be executed.
PHOTO: X-rays (left) showed the stomach contents of the South African drug muled, while Customs easily busted the three Brazilians with their five suitcases of cocaine.

Junta loyalists are out on the hustings explaining that Electric Vehicles (EVs) now are important to Thailand.
EVs will transform Thailand's automotive industry in five years and are instrumental in driving Thailand to become an EV hub in Asia by 2027.
So says  Supattanapong Punmeechaow, the junta's minister of energy, and other loyalists back him up
Prayut himself, 7 months ago in Blasgow, said he wants Thai carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065.

We have just watched the worst week of the year on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
All eyes may be on interest rates, but the SET itself isn't doing well (graphic below).
Shares everywhere in Asia
were mixed while European shares rebounded as investors digested policy tightening by major central banks.
Analysts say that starting right from the opening bells tomorrow, long bonds in Southeast Asia will outperform shorter-dated notes as policymakers turn more hawkish, turning the curve-flattening trade into a hot bet.

THAILAND POLITICS
Political analyst and Bangkok Post assistant news editor Chairith Yonpiam thinks he coming no-confidence debate and vote in parliament is all about political bargaining.
Censure debate just a bargaining tool
The Parayut junta is bracing for a major challenge from the opposition bloc.
The micro parties just want to maximise their political advantages, rather than targeting the government’s downfall.

The wave of massacres that never was
Are you possibly old enough to remember the great wave of massacres of 1964? Classrooms were shot up, shopping malls were decimated, scout troops were wiped out, fast food restaurants were turned into morgues.
And all because, in its infinite stupidity, the US government dumped 240,000 high-capacity .30 caliber assault rifles on an innocent America.
