Thai Department of Revenue: We've got what it takes to take what you've got.
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Incompetence is conducting an ongoing investigation into the origin of the sightings of UFOs.

An FBI 'investigation' of UFOs just doesn't raise expectations.
THAILAND WEATHER SOUTH
If you absolutely positively must travel to the Deep South, at least don't forget your brolly.
The official TMD forecast is 'heavy-to-very heavy' rain, along with dangerously heavy seas on both sides -- the Andaman and the Gulf.
If you do not have to go South, go North. It's wonderfully chilly at night, around 1-3 Canadian degrees on the mountains but still hot during the day -- 30 degrees in Chiang Mai.
Very Important N.B. Please do not misunderstand. It's not only the Deep South. Photo shows Nakhon Si Thammarat of the Middle South, where local government has declared an emergency for the entire city.
So, best, don't go driving there, either. Flying is still A-OK.
THAILAND MALAYSIA RUBBER
Not A Joke: A Tiny Step Forward, Three Steps Back.
Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra, better known as Ung-Ing flew down to meet Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim (photo).
The meeting produced a promise for better cooperation to boost production of rubber.
THAILAND BUDDHIST FAIR SAFETY
Fall from Octopus ride badly injures tween
NAKHON RATCHASIMA (KORAT) The 12-year-old's tumble caused a broken rib, a 'Grade 2' spine fracture and air in her chest cavity.
At Pak Chong Hospital she was able to communicate; the fair opened on Friday and will continue all week.
THAILAND ECONOMY GDP ANALYSIS
Dubious Data paints Thai economy as 'black hole'
There's probably a good reason for that, right?
By Chartchai Parasuk, freelance economist
I am known for being pessimistic about the Thai economy. (Fishwrap Comment: True)
October was supposedly the best month for the Thai economy in years, if not decades.
The reason being that both fiscal and monetary policy were the strongest and moved in harmony.
Government distributed cash to the tune of 145 billion baht, equivalent to 9.7% of monthly GDP and 16.8% of monthly consumption, during the last four days of September.

No. Are there other questions?

THAILAND RELIGION
(By a Chinese blowhard student studying in Bangkok.)
Buddhism is always oddly political.
Written like it's taught by a trained aetheist.
The Boy From Reading who appeared in Bangkok, totally confused.
This week's Rog's column is a dilly, but we'll just mark it
and let you get to it all by yourselves.
There's nothing like an odd book title
However, since it's the very eve of the eves of Christmas and New Year's giving of gifts...
After all those exotic titles the name of my latest book Beyond Nowhere admittedly sounds rather tame. But don't let that put you off.
If you are desperately looking for a Christmas or New Year present, especially for someone you do not particularly like, it could be just what you want. It is a follow up to The Long Winding Road to Nakhon Nowhere which actually wasn't that long but was admittedly a bit winding in parts including occasional u-turns and dead-ends.

Thoughts From The Ammo Line
A week without Ammo Grrrll is like a really unpleasant week on a vegetarian diet.

Four Cats arrived at Chez Ammo Grrrll.
Here is a smidgen of her wonderful report.
They eat at 7:10 (First Breakfast), then they eat again about 9:30 (Second Breakfast), then often they go play Hide ‘N Pounce in the Paranoid Texan’s yard for awhile, torture the dog who lives behind the fence in the PT’s yard by staying juuuust far enough out of his reach while he barks himself hoarse, and then disappear until suppertime or later while they go on some kind of complicated daily territorial adventure.
No more Column Nine, no more Hanuman, no more Bernard, no more Database, no more Modesty Blaise. Your nods to Crutch much appreciated, a 'last man standing' of sorts...
