The Fishwrap resumes, but just a small version
All kids, ladies and gentlemen (if any)
All but one of the staff and human companions of Fishwrap have returned to their shelters at/near East Nong Bon after their exhilarating month of all-expenses-paid voyages.
And are fantastically eager to resume.
The "one" is a female who "stopped bo see what was going on" during a Tatmadaw air raid. She'll be back by Saturday, and we will again be pumping out daily news by Monday, maybe Tuesday at the latest.
Just showin' the kind of staff we get.
Staff and friends are marking Remembrance Day/Poppy Day.
Humbly and gratefully.
In Flanders Fields
Rondeau, written as a war poem
During the muddy, bloody, horrible World War I, by Canadian physician Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae.
Of a field in Waregem, West Flanders, Belgium, where poppies are now fast disappearing.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow. Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below
.
There is more to the moving poem if you google 'Flanders fields'
USA ELECTION
I admit that I was inside the U.S.A. on the day of the big national election.
This is my message to all Americans, at home and abroad
.
I am fully prepared [again] to live with all ramifications including public shame for not casting a ballot for the least shitty piece of shit. Because every vote just encourages them.
I have a solid alibi, with reliable witnesses.

THAILAND NEWS ENERGY DICTATORSHIP-MANAGEMENT
There is nothing in the course of events that dictatorships fail to screw up.
One way to put it:
Energy saving may be made mandatory
https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/2432014/energy-saving-may-be-made-mandatory
or
How many lights will be turned off at APEC in order to save energy? And at the 1st Army Housing area and at the Chulalongkorn university where Prayut's wife teaches young'uns about democratic government?
Electricity saving may be mandated for households and businesses as the high price of liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports pushes up the cost of national power generation. Increased imports of LNG caused by a drop in natural gas from domestic sources are already blamed for pushing up electricity bills this year. If LNG prices, currently at US$26-29 per metric million British thermal units (MMBTU), rise...
The legal measure was approved at a meeting of the National Energy Policy Council (NEPC), chaired by the alleged "prime minister" Prayut.
https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/2432014/
And how will Prayut's twins, Tanya and Nittha rehearse for their band, Badz?
"But Daddy, we need electricity!"
MILITARY MISMANGEMENT (cont'd)
Token 'prime minister' Prayut and his entire 'cabinet' of subservients have ONCE AGAIN left World Cup TV coverage to the last instant - to the point there may be no TV broadcasts of World Cup matches at all.
PERSPECTIVE: You cannot do more harm to Thailand than denying World Cup soccer/football coverage. Literally.
https://www.bangkokpost.com/sports/2434954/
Next to that, about approximately 100% of Thais will spit on APEC news.
And speaking of APEC...
The alleged 'government' of Thailand will try to limit any/all protests/complaints to a dinky square in front of Bangkok City Hall, miles from the APEC summit site.

CORONAVIRUS CHINA COMMUNIST
China's stringent lockdowns.
The Chinese Communist Party continues its horrendously cruel and stupid 'Zero Covid Floundering'.
President4Life Xi Jinping ordered authorities to lock down parts of the southern megacity of Guangzhou [née Canton, pop. 37,110,000], see 'Tai Pan' [1966].
Supposedly "almost one-third" of China's newest and worsening wave of coronavirus infections come from the city. And they're "mass-testing" again to try to isolate all carriers.

HAITI CHOLERA
At least 136 people are dead in Haiti from a cholera outbreak that began last month.
César Muñoz, a researcher at Human Rights Watch, reckons:
"It is a lack of access to clean water and sanitation, pervasive food insecurity, and inadequate health care."
