BANGKOK POST: The number of Covid-19 patients admitted to hospitals in Bangkok has risen by 10% since last month, when entertainment places reopened, the chief of the Department of Medical Services said.
And the numbers rose again on Saturday.
The news was not completely depressing: 1,892 patients were declared Covid-free, and allowed to leave hospitals.
Also, just sayin': Recipients of mRNA jabs (Pfizer or Moderna) have reported less severe Covid-19 symptoms compared with those who have taken other vaccines, a respiratory specialist said.

According to Worldometer, the tiny Shanghai data firm now considered the gold standard of Covid statistics, confirmed cases globally had risen to 548.25 million on Saturday, 523.22 million of whom have recovered.
Thailand ranks 26th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the U.S.A. with 88.71 million, followed by India with 43.38 million. Canada has reported 3,926,613 confirmed cases, and 41,865 deaths by Covid - with 3,556,371 patients recovered.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo is quite concerned that, with all this marijuana legalistation that is going on in Thailand, some idi... travellers and tourists might get the loony, utterly crazy idea that it would be fine to carry some on their Japan vacay.
Terrible idea. Japanese prisons are rumoured to be slightly more comfortable than Thai lockups, but still...
The embassy on Friday posted a warning on its Facebook page:
"The Thai embassy in Tokyo would like to warn Thai people not to bring cannabis, hemp or products containing with these plants into Japan. Violators could face punishment under the Japanese law."
The warning says, politely, 'could', where it should state 'will' - 10 years in the lockup plus a fine of 3 million yen - 786,200 baht in real money.
NOTE: Under Japanese law, a whine of 'Nobody Told Me' is unacceptable in court.

The best small Android tablet has gone the way of wood veneer. There was only one adequate small Android tablet as it was - the Lenovo Tab M8 FHD - and that's gone.
As far as is known everything left on the market has the same screen resolution as the original Nexus 7 from 2012. The crappy one, not the 2013 model that was actually pretty good.
Lenovo's new Legion Y700 would be perfect - 2560x1600 8.8" screen and Arm A77 cores that blow the old A53 cores in the Tab M8 out of the water. Except that it's kind of expensive - and only available in China.
