Unexpected Thailand Poll shows Ung Ing is Our Gal.
Good late evening slash early morning to all ladies and gentlemen, and how delighted we are at the splendid and envied Nong Bon HQ. Did you have a good Sunday?
It is, right now or durned soon will be the first New Week of the month
And this is the earliest early edition of Fishwrap on 4 November 2024/2568.
The only garbage I see floating out there is Trump's supporters.

Dusit University Survey: Ung-Ing's our gal. By Majority.
THAILAND POLITICS POPULARITY
The weekly Suan Dusit Poll had an unexpected headline yesterday. It seems that Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra, nick Ung Ing and also the youngest child (and staunch supporter) of Thaksin has rather rapidly become the most popular political figure in the country. The Suan Dusit Poll is the only credible political survey in Thailand.
The latest survey, late last month, showed that Paethongtarn's popularity is more than 50% of the country. That's outstanding news for Ung Ing (photo, in parliament) and her government and her Pheu Thai Party.
However, the survey also asked for the most popular opposition members. They were the official leader and two prominent MPs of the 'progressive' People's Party.
That would make an election 10 times more interesting than Trump-Kamala, but there won't be one until at least 2027, and that's not counting likely protests in the next couple of years, and how the Royal Thai Army generals react to them. So don't count any chickens just yet.
And while we're on the subject...
Paethongtarn is going to need some... no a lot of diplomatic skill when the time comes (soon) to sit down with Cambodians to talk about a disputed bit of water
Right now, the two countries have adopted a 'joint developmen' policy which works quite well, but voices in the Thai military want an end to that cooperative outlook and straight talks with Phnom Penh over the actual ownership -- by which they mean they want Khmers out of the region so that Thailand can exhibit full ownership.
Paethongtarn and others may share an opinion that the joint development works well, and everyone profits. However, like other Thai-Cambodia issues such as Who Owns That Temple, the influential minority (who own the Constitutional Court and others) are reviving their old "Not One Inch Of Land" policy to try to steamroller Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra, better known as Ung-Ing.
CENSORSHIP BRITAIN
Bowdler is Alive! And, well... It's Strictly For the Children don't you know?
ITV -- which is a Limey television network...
ITV deployed a series of editing techniques to remove all imagery of a watermelon. Because the fruit, or at least pictures of the green-on-the-outside, red-in-the-middle is a long-standing icon of Palestinian solidarity. So ITV 'explained'.
Long-standing. Imagine that.
The Intercept of America will explain it for you. https://t.ly/_K9bJ
The Independent of England, which predicted there would never be snow in the (formerly Great) Britain 'reports' equally credibly that as many as dozens of couch potatoes are "absolutely furious that the T-shirt of Ali Bromley was censored."

That same internet 'newspaper' also reports, by its Delhi correspondent that India warns Canada of 'serious consequences' over the (alleged, mind you) bugging of Indians in the Great White North.
This goes back to Justin's claim that India was behind the murder in the Vancouver suburb of Surrey of the Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar 17 months ago.

NOTE: The personally troubled Justin II is despite his reclaiming of World's Second Tallest prime minister thanks to the firing of Srettha Thavisin and the departure of his more-popular wife.
AUSTRALIA RIP CASSIUS
The Queensland monster was the biggest saltwater croc in the world, but Cassius is gone.
Cassius was 18 Australian feet -- 5-1/2 metres, snout to tail. The animal weighed a tonne, and was 110 years old.
Tolja so
The United States will hold yet another election for president on Tuesday night, Thailand time. This means that everyone and their idjit brothers-in-law are making last-minute predicions and quite off-beat "analyses", their goal being to make it to noon on Wednesday Thailand time when it will be possible that half of them will strut, head high, repeating over and over "Told-ja so!"
This is the opinion of the professor.

Two issues at stake in U.S. president race
The fundamental and entwined issues at stake are how America sees itself at home and how its consequent role abroad ought to be.
It is not the first time these soul-searching questions are determining the election outcome, but they are a recent phenomenon.

USA POLITICS GARBAGE
The actual president of America for the next 77 days says it out loud:
Quite Weird: Biden Says Republicans Are 'The Kind Of Guys You Want To Smack In The Ass'. Okay.
IN The Ass? What does that even mean
 We'll go to the video:
Meanwhile, getting right to the heart of important news: American TV has tracked down the driver of the garbage truck into which President Trump climbed this past Wednesday before his rally in Green Bay. Along with the video, here's the story.
