The Monday morning Joke
A woman ran a red traffic light and crashed into a man's car late at night on a deserted intersection. Both of their cars are demolished, but amazingly neither of them was hurt. After they crawled out of their cars, the woman said; "Wow, just look at our cars!
There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days.”
The man replied, "I agree with you completely. This must be a sign from God!"
The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished, but my bottle of 75 year old scotch didn't break. Surely God meant for us to drink this vintage delicacy and celebrate our good fortune."
Then she handed the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opened it, drank half the bottle and then handed it back to the woman. The woman took the bottle, immediately put the cap back on, and handed it back to the man.
The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"
She replies, "Nah! I think I'll just wait for the police."

Thai officials whisked her north to Chiang Rai (so she could claim she had been in the Golden Triangle. Then they arranged an audience with the much admired Her Royal Highness (daughter of the king) Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
The princess, an American-educated lawyer, chatted with Ms. Waly, but gave nothing away.
In addition to the late Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), which is not at all missed, Thailand and neighbours are members of approximately 1.7 kajillion drug-fighting agencies, all of them fodder for comedians. Ms. Waly's group, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is known as a useful source of information, but perhaps not suited to the tasks of investigating and imprisoning drug dealers.

Firstly, a belated follow-up featuring the Cockney accent from an American reader who wanted to meet a real Cockney when he was in London a few years ago. Aware of the traditional definition of a cockney being "someone born within the sound of Bow Bells", he made a special effort to visit St. Mary-le-Bow church, the source of the bells.
